Numerical integration of stochastic differential equations (SDEs) and stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs),
Geometric numerical integration, algebraic and geometric structures in numerical analysis, Butcher-series, Hopf algebras, operads,
Deterministic and stochastic numerical integrators on manifolds, projection, Lie group methods,
Stochastic multiscale problems, asymptotic-preserving (AP) and uniformly accurate (UA) methods,
Everything else in Mathematics!
Summary:
My research focuses on stochastic geometric numerical integration and thus lies at the intersection of algebra, geometry, analysis, probability, and numerics.
I use algebraic structures for the design and study of new numerical integrators that solve stochastic or deterministic evolutionary problems (ODEs, SDEs, PDEs, SPDEs),
while preserving the invariants, the geometry and the multiscale features of the dynamics.
The numerical applications are diverse and include in particular molecular dynamics, stochastic optimisation, quantum physics, mechanics, and machine learning.
The algebraic and geometric concepts are far-reaching and are analogous to structures used in singular SPDEs, rough paths, differential geometry, homology, or operadic theory.

I am the
LGBTQIA+ referee
of the Mathematics Laboratory of Rennes.
I co-organise the first French LGBTQIA+ conference "Queerly Supporting Mathematics" at CIRM in 2027.
I actively support all kinds of diversity and refuse to work with researchers who do not think everyone belongs in academia.

Commitees: I am an elected member of the CSI of INSMI
and of the scientific commitee of the GDR calcul.
Seminars: I organise with Eugenio Pozzoli the research seminar in applied mathematics at the ENS Rennes. Feel free to contact me if you would like to visit us.
Upcoming conferences: FoCM and SciCADE, co-organisation of CANUM 2026.
Outreach: With the Beaux Arts (EESAB) of Rennes, we use mathematical ideas in art and design projects. More to come later.
I created an escape game with the Mathscope of the University of Geneva, Christine Plaza and Léo Nicollier!
